YE HE, PH.D.

Ye He is an Associate Professor in the Teacher Education and Higher Education Department at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She works with both preservice and inservice teachers in the Teaching-English-to-Speakers-of-Other-Languages (TESOL) field and teaches a doctoral-level course on mixed methods research. Her research focuses on the promotion of strengths-based, diverse language and culture centered teaching and learning practices.
Dr. He is a co-founder of the Appreciative Advising and Appreciative Education movement. She has led the assessment and evaluation efforts of the Appreciative Advising Summer Institute and serves as the co-editor for the Journal of Appreciative Education. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and 5 books. She is a recipient of the 2013 North Carolina College Personnel Association (NCCPA) Distinguished Scholar Award in recognition of her significant contributions to the field of Student Development/Student Affairs through Appreciative Advising.
